Founded by Asya Ter-Hovakimyan and Francisco Zhou during their studies at the London College of Fashion in 2016. With a deep-rooted commitment to transparency, local craftsmanship, and preserving traditional arts, OMNISS collaborates with women-led enterprises and artisans in Armenia. Their dedication is evident in every product, which tells a story beyond its seams.
OMNISS abstains from conventional demographic labels, designing for a spirit and mindset rather than specific genders or groups. Their collections are made for dreamers, visionaries, and those who dare to stand out.
This season, OMNISS will kickstart London Fashion Week on the 12th of September 2024 with a catwalk and after-party, hosted at the vibrant 83 Rivington Street in Shoreditch.
OMNISS’ philosophy of rule breakers and disruptors is seen through the lens of nature. Inspired by the defiant nature of bird species, the SS25 catwalk collection ‘ LOVESONG in FLIGHT’ showcases a narrative of love and breaking free, featuring unique techniques such as digital embroidery, and intricate draping to create stunning dresses that seamlessly transition into evening wear. Corset techniques add a touch of elegance, while signature blazer cuts and a playful blend of feminine and masculine elements, combined with vibrant flamingo pinks and crisp whites, create a visually striking collection. The pieces are thoughtfully crafted with Armenian influences and handcrafted elements, primarily produced in London.
“Francisco Zhou and I founded OMNISS in 2016, while we were studying at London College of Fashion. Fuelled by our passion for craftsmanship and dreams of the future, we would spend countless hours and sleepless nights creating unique pieces with stories to tell. Our first customers were our friends, who would voluntarily model our collections at our showcases around different London venues. Since then, we moved out from student halls, bought a pattern-cutting table and turned our passion into a full-flung business, endorsed by the University of the Arts London. We showed our collections around the world, including Paris and were part of London Fashion Week with Fashion Scout. In 2020 we moved to our East London studio space and were chosen for the Creative Business Accelerator Program run in partnership with Google Campus.” - Asya Ter-Hovakimyan, designer & co-founder.
